Phased array probes and wedges can be customized according to customer requirements. They can be used to meet specific applications or special workpiece inspection needs. To design and manufacture custom probes correctly, TRX needs to understand the following information:
- Application
- Conventional ultrasonic probe with comparability
- Probe center frequency
- Number of arrays, spacing between arrays and secondary-axis wafer length
- Shape of transducer array
- Whether the array elevation is focused
- Shell type, such as S series, A series or other type
- Case size restrictions and case shape requirements
- Cable skin material, such as PVC or PU
- Cable jacket material
- Length of cable
- Connector type
